The massive disaster has forced the temporary closure of more than 100 schools and left thousands of homes without power, while the death toll from the floods has risen to at least three, with one person still missing. Authorities have also ordered more than 50,000 people to prepare to evacuate from risk areas as heavy rains are expected to continue in many areas.
